FFmpeg video hosting

Hi folks, I've just finished building a video sharing site for rope jumping and I thought I'll share my experience I gained dealing with a few hosting providers I have (had) accounts with. Well, building is maybe not the right word since all I did was to install PHPmotion. It's still a long way to go, lots of customizations are needed to change it's default appearance. I used a couple of tricks from this phpmotion hosting site. A word about PHPmotion: yes, it's free, it can be installed in minutes, seconds if your hosting provider allows it, but anything else costs. If you're not interested in extra templates, skins, SEO or any other gadgets then this is for you. Another word of caution when reading the good or bad web hosting reviews out there... Example: one guy on a certain support forum was slashing this web host up and down for crappy support and technical knowledge, insulting them, etc, etc. That particular host was on my short list so I was very interested to find out what happened. I've exchanged PMs with this guy for 4 days, trying in the same time to help him. Long story short: - he got a hosting package and the free domain - downloaded the zip file from phpmotion site - unzip it - start screaming at the support guys that his site it's not working. What's missing up the in the list? Uploading and installing it!!!! He never did that. And when he was referring to the fact that he can see the program, he was talking about the windows explorer.
